The Seven Days of Creation

Here are the Days of Creation in Genesis:

And God said, “Let there be light” (1:3)

The Big Bang;
Radiant energy

“Let there be space between the waters…”
(1:6-8)

Light breaks through sky & water;
The atmosphere is opaque;
Evaporation cycle

“Let the waters beneath the sky be gathered into one place so dry ground may appear….” 
(1:9-11)

Land shows and plants grow;
Volcanic activity pushes land surface (29% land and 71% water;
Cyano bacteria begins;
Plant growth

“Let bright lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night…” 1:14-15)

Sunlight penetrates the earth;
Atmosphere prepares for animal and human life;
Earth rotation slows;
Photosynthesis brings oxygen and new plant life;
There is an ozone layer in the atmosphere

“Let the waters swarm with fish and other life.  Let the skies be filled with birds of every kind…:(1:20-23)

Swimmers and flyers are created, along with—
Invertebrates in the ocean;
Fish and shellfish.
The Cambrian explosion;
Insects;
Flying reptiles;
Feathered winged birds

“Let the earth bring forth every kind of animal…” (1:24-27)

Crawlers and walkers;
Animal life begins;
Dinosaurs?
Adam and Eve

7

On the seventh day, having finished his task, God rested from all his work (2:2)

No new works of creation
