A Grateful Heart
You can’t always control the kind of service you receive, but you can always control the kind of gratitude you deliver.
Service is big these days. A lot of companies have built their reputations on service, so we have come to expect it. But what if the package you were expecting doesn’t arrive the next day? What if the restaurant server messes up your order? What if the minimum wage retail clerk talks on the phone rather than wait on you?
Are you going to yell at someone over the phone? Are you going to refuse to leave your server a tip? Are you going to ask to speak to the manager so you can really chew him out? Sometimes it is necessary to correct a wrong, but most of our ranting over poor service is totally unnecessary and uncalled for. Regardless of the kind of service we receive, we need to always deliver the heart of gratitude and grace that God always shows to us.
No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
