Seek God. Trust God. Enjoy God.

One of the greatest pleasures in life is seeking God. Many people spend their time avoiding God (sometimes they spend a lifetime), because they think that God is like a warden who wants to imprison them and take away their privileges. Even Christians who have found God try to avoid Him sometimes.

The truth is, we’re miserable when we run from God, because without God all we have are our puny pleasures. When we seek God at any level–whether skeptically or wholeheartedly–we eventually discover someone who wants to give us abundant life (John 10:10).

Don’t make the mistake of seeking God for temporary solutions to your problems. He can do anything, but He delights in giving you long-lasting peace of mind and heart, and joy unlike anything you will experience on your own.

“If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me.”
