Admit Your Mistakes
It’s hard to learn from a mistake that you don’t acknowledge making.
What are the three hardest words to say? The correct answer is, “I was wrong.” (We’ll give you partial credit if you are a guy and answered, “I am lost”). Admitting a mistake is difficult for anyone, but there are some important reasons why you should.
You are being stubborn and prideful if you aren’t willing to admit your mistakes. If you refuse to deal with the reality of your mistakes, you’re likely to keep making them. If you are making spiritual mistakes, then your relationship with God will be interrupted as long as you refuse to admit to God that you have done wrong.
Don’t hesitate to talk to God about your mistakes. After all, He noticed when you made them. (And He even knew that you’d make them before they happened.) And He still loves you.
But no, you won’t listen. So you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself because of your stubbornness in refusing to turn from your sin.
