Peace
If you’re looking for peace, you might start by consulting the “Prince of Peace.”To the world, the concept of peace means the absence of war. It means living in harmony with others and enjoying public order. Those are acceptable definitions from a purely secular perspective, but they don’t get to the heart of the matter from a spiritual perspective.
The peace that God offers you is freedom from inner conflict. It doesn’t necessarily remove external discord from your circumstances, but it can replace worry and fear. When you have God’s peace in your life, you are able to withstand the external discord in your life. You can relax in the assurance that someone greater than you (that would be God) is in control of the situation.
So, when you think about it, God’s inner peace also affects your perspective of the external problems.
“I am leaving you with a gift–peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn’t like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
John 14:27
