The Bible is the greatest instructional book in the world.The quickest way to get things right is to read the instructions. Say you’re putting together a swing set. You could try to assemble the pieces by looking at the box (most men do this first), but you will never get it right–not until you read the instruction manual.

If you need instructions for a swing set, you certainly need instructions for life (there’s not even a box to look at). None of us is capable of knowing God and understanding His plans for our lives unless we read His personal instruction book. Don’t be misled by your uninformed friends. The Bible isn’t a book of do’s and don’ts. It is a book about how to do it right. There are a lot of opinions floating around, but you can trust the Bible as the standard for testing everything else that claims to be true.
