Believing in fortune cookies leads to a crummy life.Knowing God’s will for your life isn’t like going to a fortune-teller. It isn’t a peek into the future to uncover the inevitable events that are going to happen. God’s will is a relationship–you and God–that guides your behavior and your decisions.

Being in God’s will doesn’t give you a premonition of future events, but it does equip you with the confidence to face whatever circumstances arise. You have the assurance of believing that the One who knows you best and loves you most is directing your life. It means that both the good and bad circumstances can be used as part of God’s design to bring you closer to Him.

Dont’ worry about trying to predict what will happen in the future. Instead, develop your relationship with God so that you can live in His will. That is your best preparation for the future.

How do you know what will happen tomorrow? For your life is like the morning fog–it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.
