Facing What’s Ahead
You can’t enjoy the present if you fear the future.Part of the fun of a vacation is the anticipation. For months in advance you can be excited about what will happen in the future. But your future isn’t all filled with vacations. There are uncertainties ahead of you, and they aren’t as much fun to anticipate.
Don’t dwell on what you don’t know about the future. It won’t do you any good to worry about it. (And you’re probably imagining that things will be worse than will actually be the case.) Whether your concerns for the future are about finances, or relationships, or health, trust that God will be there with you when the future happens.
In the meantime, enjoy the present.
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries.”
Matthew 6:34
