Fractured Families
The best way to put fractured families back together is to love each other.
Our culture’s concept of “family” is fractured. Husbands and wives battle in divorce courts. Children sue parents over custody. The government attempts to legislate relationships.
God knows about the family. After all, he invented it! God designed the family, and He wants it to reflect His love. This attitude of love should exist between the husband and wife, and beween parents and their children. Every family member should respond to the others with kindness, as if they were responding to God Himself.
Your family may be fractured. It may not be all that you want it to be. Don’t despair! You can begin a restoration process in your family by showing God’s love. Whether you are a spouse, a parent or a child, be God’s ambassador in your family.
So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do.
